Model Call: Storytelling Sessions

I am currently looking for families or expecting couples in the Rochester, NY area to photograph sometime within the next two months for approximately 3-4 hours. If interested, please fill out the appropriate questionnaire by clicking the links below:

All applications will be reviewed and families/couples will be contacted if selected. Those selected will receive a free session and 10 high-res images suitable for printing as a thank you.

*Must be willing to sign a model release as these images will be used for my portfolio and advertising purposes.

STORYTELLING SESSIONS ARE:

• Unscripted. You are not required to arrange your children in a perfect row and all look at the camera and say ‘cheese’. In fact, these purpose of these sessions are for your family to just be themselves and let their personalities shine.
• Capture this current time in your life. These sessions capture the personal, intimate memories that last a lifetime, but live only in our minds; the unique moments most precious to you and unique to your story.
• Document the smaller everyday moments. A quiet Saturday morning, the treasured routines and traditions, a nice long walk with the dog, or the way the kids play together (including the little messes they leave behind).
• Natural. No need to worry about arriving anywhere on time, dressing up, big lighting setups—you are in your element, where you feel comfortable to be you.
• Give very little to no direction. The goal is to capture your everyday life without interruption. (You will probably forget I’m there!)
• Most importantly, they capture everyday life. It’s documenting the messy kitchen after you just prepared dinner together, the funny faces your children make and the hugs and kisses you get, the occasional meltdown or time out, the belly kisses or the nursery preparation. Most of all, it’s about capturing the love you have.

Your life won’t always look like this and these moments are worth saving—we are all unique and perfect in our own imperfect way. These sessions are all about embracing the beauty within our everyday life.
